The foundation of America started with the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the subsequent Amendments to the Constitution, but it is really so much more.
While the items grant us the freedoms we all enjoy today, the foundation of American is much larger than a few documents. It is the spirit contained in them, the traditional old-fashioned values our forefathers lived by, the courage of our military that preserves our freedoms, the music and art that celebrates America, the culture created by our freedoms and so much more.
America was founded on three basic principals:
- Individual freedom, which comes from self-reliance.
- Equal opportunity, which comes from fair competition.
- The American Dream, which comes from hard work.
People came and still come to American because they want to enjoy these basic three principals. The truth is, these principals are far more unifying and greater that anything that attempts to divides us.
